Civil Pro-Bono Panel

About the Panel

The civil pro bono panel is a group of practitioners who have agreed to be considered when our federal judges identify situations in federal civil litigation in which the judge believes a self-represented party would benefit from having licensed legal counsel that the individual may not otherwise be able to hire.  Appointments can be for the remaining litigation before the court or on occasion, for assistance with individual motions or in negotiating possible resolutions.  This process is currently being evaluated by our federal civil rules analysis committee to identify ways to improve the process for both the litigants and the panel members, so stay tuned for updates.
